The Equestrian academy, a division of the prestigious International Hotel School is situated on the Nooitgedacht Fijnbosch Studwhich is owned by Mr. Russell Stevens and run by Managing Principal, Chantelle McCabe. This picturesque horse stud is situated in the Harkerville forest belt between Plettenberg Bay and Knysna.  Students are accommodated on the farm and, as well as studying for their SANEF exams, they take part in all the farm activities.
Instructors

Our Instructors are all qualified and actively involved in the industry and their respective disciplines.

Prof. Michael Shires,  Dean of the Plettenberg Equestrian Academy, serves in an advisory capacity and lectures on Equine Healthcare and other subjects

Acting Principal Vicky Rowlands, who regularly instructs at the Academy, is one of the most experienced and respected Level 2 Instructors in the country.  Besides her reputation as an instructor, Vicky has also competed at International level in eventing in the UK, competing at Burley, and qualifying for Burlington.

We also have a number of other industry professionals who give guest lectures on their area of expertise, e.g.: farrier, veterinary etc.
