Shows

Students will accompany the Principal to various shows (dressage, x-country, showing jumping, etc) where they will get hands on experience in show turnout and support. Students will also be required to help out at events, such as being jump judges for x-country shows at George Riding Club and local shows.  The Plettenberg Equestrian Academy is also home to a top class arena in which we host our own show annually.  Those students who have shown proficiency in their riding are also eligible to compete should they wish to do so.

Outings

Students will go on a series of outings throughout their ten months at Plettenberg Equestrian Academy. These outings are designed to give students a broader idea of what other stable designs and yard setups are like.  Some of the outings will include seeing various stud farms, polo games, beach rides and team building events.  Students will also go on out rides in the surrounding Harkerville forest, where they can ride for up to 3 hours, all the way to the sea.
