Equestrian Supervisor & Trail Leader


Plettenberg Equestrian Academy in association with Fijnbosch Nooitgedacht Stud is looking to employ Equestrian Supervisors and Trail Leaders at two of our associated holiday resorts.

There are two positions presently available, one at a resort in the in the Northern Drakensberg of Kwazulu Natal and the other at a resort near White River in Mpumalanga.

You will need a minimum of SANEF 1 - 3, or equivalent as well as basic veterinary experience. The position will require

  • Ability to safely lead rides out

  • Good supervisory skills

  • Excellent communication skills at all levels

  • Takes initiative and quick thinking

  • Must be able to care for a yard of +-15 horses

The applicant will also need to be

  • A team player

  • Work well under pressure

  • Able to work after hours if necessary

  • A motivated, responsible individual

  • Goal & target orientated

  • Independent worker

Applicants will require their own transport, cell phone and be required to live on the resorts premises.
